Versace kicks off Couture Week the Donatella Way

Of course if you have been reading WWD (or as I like to call it the Fashion Bible), you are aware that Couture Week has started! Who better than to kick it off than the outrageous Donatella Versace.  The Atelier Versace Spring Summer 2012 ejects pure glamour.  From the sequins to metallics, the 15 look collection was out of this world.

The gowns were mostly corseted, but highly detailed.  Some cuts were even futuristic.  The show was star studded, from the clothes to the models.  Such models as Arizona Muse, Karlie Kloss, Lindsey Wixson, were just a few to be seen!

The audience was filled with such fashion lovers as Cameron Diaz and Diane Kruger.  The collection was mainly silver and gold but also thrown in were pops of color.  Donatella designed bright orange and lime green minis and gowns to go along with it all.

The collection was truly amazing and Donatella really out did herself.  Can we expect nothing less? 2012 just might be the year of Versace!
